Project OCT Shenzhen
To establish a comprehensive urban scenario for a new residential area, located between downtown and the natural outskirts of Shenzhen. On the northern and eastarn boundaries, lays a string of preserved hills; the southern border is a lychee trees forest, acting as a filter to the existing neighborhood.
To setup a continuous urban space or mall, of variable width, able to establish the area's identity, organizing the specific elements of the program, and offering a pedestrian promenade orchestrating the different scales, and typologies. To fight a prevalent trend within the local context, where built form often ignores urban space-making.
